AFLAC Supplemental Benefits
Give employees access to additional financial protection for covered accidents, illnesses, hospital stays, disability, and other life events.
ACA 360 can help you explore available AFLAC solutions and determine which options may be appropriate for your organization and workforce.
Discuss Benefits for Your WorkforceWhy supplemental benefits matter
Major medical insurance is essential, but it may not cover every expense an employee faces after an accident, illness, or hospital stay. Deductibles, copayments, transportation, childcare, household expenses, and lost income can create additional financial pressure during an already difficult time.
AFLAC supplemental insurance can provide cash benefits for covered events. For many plans, benefits are paid directly to the policyholder unless assigned otherwise, giving employees flexibility to use the funds where they are needed most.
Give employees access to additional financial protection for expenses their primary health plan may not fully cover.
Supplemental benefits can help employees prepare for unexpected expenses and reduce the financial stress associated with a covered health event.
Expand the value of your benefits package with additional coverage choices designed to support a diverse workforce.
How it works
AFLAC benefits are designed to complement an employer's existing benefits program. They do not replace major medical insurance or satisfy an employer's ACA coverage obligations.
ACA 360 works with the employer to understand workforce needs and identify the AFLAC coverage options the organization would like to make available.
Employees receive information about the available benefits and decide whether to enroll based on their individual and family needs. Depending on the arrangement, premiums may be paid through convenient payroll deductions.
When a covered accident, illness, or other qualifying event occurs, eligible benefits are paid according to the applicable policy. For many supplemental plans, cash benefits are paid directly to the policyholder unless assigned otherwise.

With the exception of applicable dental and vision insurance plans, the AFLAC plans described on this page provide supplemental insurance coverage and are not major medical insurance plans. Supplemental insurance does not replace an employer's primary medical plan or satisfy an Applicable Large Employer's obligations under the Affordable Care Act.

ACA 360 may separately provide ACA compliance monitoring and employee eligibility-tracking services under a distinct client engagement. Those services do not determine eligibility for coverage or benefits under an AFLAC insurance policy.
